Pirates Press is a vinyl manufacturer and record label started in 2004 based out of Emeryville. Eric Mueller is the man behind the label. Mueller started Pirates Press with the intent to "protect independent labels, bands, artists and businesses from being swindled and handicapped by big corporate manufacturers who really don’t care about them." The label is known for doing unique conceptual vinyl releases, featuring die cuts, stenciling, wild colors, and flexible promotional 45's. Pirates Press has created many millions of vinyl records. Clients include Tom Petty, White Stripes, Beck, Slayer, Eric Clapton, Madonna, and more.
